1865 -  Black Stag Black Lager​

Our Flagship Beer.

​

The "black beer" or swartzbier dates back to  the Middle Ages, 1390 in Braunschweig, Germany.   The finished product is a dark colored beer with a ruby pearlescent appearance.   This is the darker beer that's light on the palate with flavor you have been looking for.

​

1865 is deceptive in that it gets mistaken for a stout when it's poured but drinks more like an ale.

Lemon Radler

Radler in German translates to 'cyclists" also know as Alsterwasser.   The Radler is a popular summer time beer to drink on a hot day after hiking the river, cycling, mowing the yard, or at the lake.... it's also a great option on a nicely shaded patio on Mass St. in Lawrence!

Nichoir Saison  (OFF TAP)​

A Belgian Farmhouse Ale.  This beer was an originally a low ABV alternative to a less than sanitary water supply on Belgian farms. Brewed for spring/summer consumption originally.  This style has become an accepted beer year round in the United States .  Fruity and funky the saison is a style you'll enjoy, with a little more kick in the ABV.

The King's Kölsch  (OFF TAP)

Warmed fermented with ale yeast, a Kölsch is a hybrid styled beer in that it goes through a lagering process at cooler temperatures.   This means the process is longer, but the product is superior.   With its lower ABV this beer is very drinkable.

 

Kölsch first appeared in Köln, Germany in the  late 16th/early 17th century.
