1865 - Black Stag Black Lager
Our Flagship Beer.
The "black beer" or swartzbier dates back to the Middle Ages, 1390 in Braunschweig, Germany. The finished product is a dark colored beer with a ruby pearlescent appearance. This is the darker beer that's light on the palate with flavor you have been looking for.
1865 is deceptive in that it gets mistaken for a stout when it's poured but drinks more like an ale.
A swartzbier with a twist.

This lemony fruit forward beer is made with our very popular 1988 Helles Frozen Over . Extremely refreshing !!
